Edward Jude MBBS, MD, FRCP

Professor Edward Jude was appointed Consultant in Diabetes & Endocrinology at Tameside Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in 2001.He is lead for Diabetes and Endocrinology as well the diabetic foot service for Tameside and Glossop. He is also lead for delivering training for the Core Medical trainees in diabetes and endocrinology in the North West, and chairs the North West Diabetes Group.

He initiated and established a multidisciplinary Diabetic Foot Clinic and a community based Diabetic Foot Protection team to ensure excellent care for patients with diabetic foot problems. Keen to see an improvement in the in-patient diabetes services he has initiated a ‘checklist’ for diabetes within the trust as well as promotes ‘Putting Feet First’ for diabetic patients admitted to hospital.
