Edward Hao Mang Koo MD

Edward H. Koo, M.D., holds joint appointments as Professor of Medicine and Physiology at the National University of Singapore Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and the Department of Neurosciences at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. He also served as co-Director of the UCSD Shiley Marcos Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. He is training in Neurology and Neuropathology at the University of California, San Francisco and the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, respectively. His laboratory focuses on understanding the molecular and cellular pathophysiology of Alzheimer’s disease, neurodegeneration, selective vulnerability of neurons to injury in aging and other neurological conditions, as well as Alzheimer’s therapeutics.
