Dr. Lauterbach is Professor of Psychiatry, Radiology, and Neurology, and Chief of the Division of Adult and Geriatric Psychiatry at Mercer University School of Medicine. He is also Medical Director of the Senior Center, a geropsychiatry unit at Middle Georgia Hospital, Macon, Georgia. He is a graduate of Bowman Gray School of Medicine, Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, North Carolina and completed his psychiatry residency at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Subsequently, he completed a neurology fellowship in movement disorders at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in New Brunswick. After 15 months in private practice, he returned to academics at Mercer University School of Medicine where he has taught residents and medical students.
