Eduardo Montero Solis is an Associate Professor in Periodontology at the University Complutense of Madrid. He is a Member of the ETEP (Etiology and Therapy of Periodontal and Peri-implant diseases) research group. He graduated in Dentistry at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) where he also completed a Master's in Dental Sciences and the EFP-accredited Postgraduate Program in Periodontics and Dental Implants. He received a grant to partially carry out his doctorate studies at the Forsyth Institute, successfully defending my PhD thesis, qualified with Outstanding Cum Laude, an International Mention, and the Extraordinary Doctorate Award. He also has a Degree in Design and Statistics in Health Sciences from the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

He has been an Associate Professor since 2018 and he has signed 14 research contracts (4 competitive and 10 non-competitive). He has published 43 JCR-indexed scientific manuscripts, 39 of them in the first quartile (Q1), representing 90.7% of his publications. His total number of citations is 2612 (according to Google Scholar) with a mean number of citations per year of 461.6 in the last 5 years. His h-index is 19. I also have written 2 book chapters. He has received several awards throughout his career, including the Fonseca Prize from the Spanish Society of Periodontology (2021), the Senior Robert Frank Award from the International Association of Dental Research (IADR), and several prizes regarding research and clinical communications from different societies (e.g. British Society of Periodontology, Spanish Society of Periodontology, Regional Dental Council from Madrid, etc.)
