Specialist in General Oncological Surgery and Abdominal Oncological Surgery at the National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases by the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia. Fellow in Surgery at Hammersmith Hospital and Saint Marks' Hospital in London UK, and at the National Cancer Center in Tokyo, Japan. Master in Medicine from the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, Master in Health Services Management from ESAN. Also Professor of Surgery at the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia. Alumni of the British Council, JICA, IVLP of the American Government, Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Surgeon of the Department of Abdomen of the INEN and Executive Director of Epidemiology and Statistics of the INEN. He was Head of the Department of Abdomen of INEN, Director of Education of INEN and Director of the Cancer Research Center "Maes Heller". Former President, Member of the Board and current Vice-President of the Peruvian Cancer Foundation. Permanent Advisor of the Hipólito Unanue Foundation and Former President of the Peruvian Academy of Surgery.
