Edo Aarts MD, PhD

Edo Aarts is Medical Director WeightWorks Clinics and Allurion Kliniek, Renkum, Gelderland, Netherlands. In 2008, after finishing medschool he started as a PhD candidate at the Rijnstate Hospital the Netherlands. His PhD titled "Results and complications of Bariatric Surgery" was finished in 2014, containing 15 original publications. He has published 70 articles in peer reviewed journals and am member of the Editorial Board of Obesity Surgery. In 2011 Marked the year that I started as surgical resident at the Radboud University and finished end 2018 at the Rijnstate hospital. During his residency he was head of the bariatric research departement.A new adventure has just started as he become Medical Director of Allurion Kliniek, where patients with overweight can be treated with the Elipse Gastric Balloon.
