Eddy Dirk Zandee van Rilland is a Clinical Assistant Professor within the division of Musculoskeletal Radiology at Stanford University. He was born and raised in Hawaii before moving to the “mainland” for college at Johns Hopkins University. He graduated from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, followed by a residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, and a fellowship in Musculoskeletal Imaging at Stanford University. He worked in a Bay Area private practice for a year before returning to Stanford to join the faculty in 2024. His research interests include medical/residency education, imaging utilization, and AI applications in musculoskeletal imaging.
