Earl K. Bogrow, DDA, FAGD, D-ABDSM, has been in private practice in Southfield, Michigan in general dentistry since 1981. He graduated from the University of Michigan Dental School in 1979, and completed a residency at the Department of Dental Health in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1981. In 2008, he began treating patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Dr. Bogrow had been diagnosed with OSA and was placed on CPAP therapy, a device worn while sleeping that provides constant positive air pressure, but found a more successful treatment using an adjustable oral appliance. Since then, Dr. Bogrow has received extensive training and education in the field of sleep medicine. In 2012, Dr. Bogrow received certification from the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. He is dedicated to helping his patients overcome the potential health risks and life-threatening consequences associated with untreated OSA. These risks include daytime drowsiness and drowsy driving, hypertension, GERD, stroke, and diabetes. Dr. Bogrow offers his patients oral appliance therapy as an optional snoring treatment and OSA in place of the standard treatments which include surgical intervention or use of CPAP.
