Dvir Aran BSc, PhD

Dvir Aran is currently a postdoctoral fellow at Atul Butte’s lab at the Institute for Computational Health Sciences (ICHS), University of California San Francisco (UCSF). Previously, Dvir completed his PhD in Computer Science and Computational Biology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. In his research, Dvir is developing computational and experimental methodologies to characterize the cellular heterogeneity of tissues and tumors. By employing publicly available datasets from bulk and single-cell profiling of multiple ‘omics’ types and computational cancer immunology methods his research seeks to advance understanding of the interactions of the tumor and its microenvironment.
