Dragos Zamfirescu

Doctor Dragoş Zamfirescu is Doctor of Medical Sciences, Primary Physicist in Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Microsurgery and President of Plastic Surgeons in Romania. Dr. Dragoş Zamfirescu is a doctor of medical sciences, plastic surgery, aesthetic and reconstructive microsurgery, with almost 21 years experience in plastic surgery, 20 years in reconstructive microsurgery and 19 years in aesthetic surgery, with more than 8,000 interventions surgical ones, some of which are of particular difficulty and national prizes. His Aesthetic Surgery began in 1999, assisting Professor Lascar in the Prof. Dr. Ioan Lascar Clinic, and since 2002 he began his own work. With the opening of the Zetta Clinic in December 2012, Dr. Zamfirescu operates all types of Aesthetic surgery, Plastic Surgery, and Reconstructive Microsurgery surgery in a private clinic.

For 16 months he was Research Felow at the Microsearch Foundation of Australia in Syndey. He was Visiting Doctor at the Royal North Shore Hospital Sydney, St. Vincent's Hospital Melbourne, Tokyo Medical University Hospital, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital Taipei, the Italian Institute for Hand Surgery Monza, the Centro Traumatologico Ortopedico Torino and the Mayo Clinic Rochester Minessota.

Dr. Zamfirescu's scientific work includes over 65 articles published in specialized journals (including 11 ISI articles), 268 presenters held at congresses, 14 chapters and books appearing in national and international publishing houses. He has received 3 national and 2 international awards. Postgraduate professional development includes participation in 76 courses and 82 specialized congresses in Romania and abroad. He also coordinated numerous scientific research projects, one of them finalizing with a patent for invention.
