Dr. Rachel Deena Bak received her Bachelor of Arts at the University of California Los Angeles in 2002 with honors. Thereafter, she attended the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California and earned her MD degree in 2007. Dr. Bak completed her internship in general surgery during her internship because of the advances in surgical dermatology. Dr. Bak then completed her residency at the University of California Los Angeles program at Northridge Hospital Medical Center in Family Medicine in 2011. Dr. Bak uses her general medical knowledge and skill to teach each of her patients comprehensively and with tremendous respect.

Dr. Bak is accomplished in medical research in both the basic sciences and clinical areas. Her research in epidermolysis bullosa was published in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology in 2005. She also presented such work as an abstract at both the Society for Investigational Dermatology meeting and the Keck School of Medicine Research Forum in 2005. Dr. Bak also published a comprehensive review of Delusions of Parasitosis in Cutis, October 2008. Dr. Bak has also participated in cosmetic lip enhancement research with Dr. Joel Aronowitz of Cedars Sinai Medical Center and her research was published in 2002.

Dr. Bak feels very strongly about continued medical education for herself and others. She also teaches residents and medical students in her office. Dr. Bak is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is an AAAM Board Certified Physician in Aesthetic Medicine.
