Dr. Mohammed Al-Ghonaim graduated from the college of medicine at King Saud University, Riyadh, SA. He pursued his post-graduate training in Canada, where he completed his residency and fellowship in Internal Medicine& Nephrology and Renal Transplant at the University of Alberta, Alberta, Canada. Dr. Mohammed is Canadian and American board-certified in internal medicine and nephrology.
His area of interest includes Acute Kidney Injury Glomerulonephritis, chronic kidney disease, and transplant. He is a member of the Saudi, Canadian, and American Societies of Nephrology. He has been published in Peer-Reviewed Journals and received numerous honours throughout his career, such as the award of Excellence from the Saudi Cultural Bureau in Canada and the Gordon Denchfield Thomson Scholarship from the University of Alberta.
Currently, he works as the Consultant Clinical and Transplant Nephrologist at King Saud University Medical City. There, he holds the additional position of Chairman of the Department of Medicine. He’s also the supervisor of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Research Chair for Kidney disease and Supervisor for Health transformation.
