Dr. Douglas Johnston, MD is a Pediatric Otolaryngologist at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago (formerly Children's Memorial Hospital). He received his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine and completed his residency in Otolaryngology at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Johnston completed his fellowship at Harvard University, Boston Children's Hospital. His clinical and research interests include Trans-Oral Robotic Surgery; Disorders/Surgery of sinuses; Disorders/Surgery of the thyroid/parathyroid glands; and Vascular Malformations. Dr. Johnston is also proud of his robust general pediatric otolaryngology practice, where he maintains up-to-date knowledge of a broad range of common otolaryngology (ENT) conditions. His primary focus is on the well-being of his patients and their caregivers. He joined the Lurie Children’s Hospital Division of Otolaryngology as a member of the Head and Neck/Skull Base Team, where he leads the educational objectives. He is active on a national level with the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology and the Society of Ear, Nose, and Throat Disorders in leadership roles. He also participates in quality improvement and fellowship wellness.
