Dr. Donohue is presently the Field Director for the Disease-Specific Care Certification Program with responsibility for the leadership of the over 70 Disease-Specific Care Reviewers in all programs. Prior to joining The Joint Commission, Dr. Donohue was the Director of Clinical Quality and Education at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida. In this position she was responsible for quality and patient safety, accreditation/regulatory, nursing education and Magnet® activities. Dr. Donohue has held a variety of nursing operational positions with clinical oversight of Neuroscience including the establishment of a Joint Commission Certified Primary Stroke Program, Oncology, a Total Joint Center and Surgical Services.
Dr. Donohue received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the College of Mount St. Vincent in Riverdale, NY her Master of Science in Nursing Administration from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is licensed in Florida as a Registered Nurse and maintains board certification as a Nurse Executive-Advanced from the American Nurse Credentialing Center and is a Certified Professional in Health Care Quality
