Dr. Dora Lam-Himlin is an Associate Professor at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona where she serves as a general surgical pathologist and consultant in gastrointestinal, liver, and pancreatic pathology. She joined the practice after completing a gastrointestinal and liver pathology fellowship at Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Lam-Himlin has recently co-authored a textbook entitled "Atlas of gastrointestinal biopsy: a pattern based approach to non-neoplastic biopsies" with Drs. C. Arnold and E. Montgomery. In addition to this text, Dr. Lam-Himlin has authored over 50 articles and several book chapters, and she looks forward to serving as a series editor for an upcoming book series with Lippincott. In addition to actively publishing, she is also highly engaged in institutional committees and strongly committed to medical education. She has served as the pathology and immunology course leader for first year medical students at the Mayo Medical School, is course director for the annual Mayo Clinic Pathology Update CME course, and lectures nationally and internationally in GI pathology.
