Prof. Dominique Turck Dominique Turck is a Professor of Paediatrics at the University of Lille, and Director of the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition, Department of Paediatrics, Lille University Jeanne de Flandre Children’s Hospital. He first attended medical school at the University of Rouen, then received his medical degree at the University of Lille, and was trained in Paediatrics at the Lille University Hospital. From 1988 until 1990 he was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Children's Nutrition Research Center and the Department of Paediatrics, Texas Children’s Hospital, and Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas. Dominique Turck served as Secretary of the ESPGHAN Committee of Nutrition and member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition. He chaired the Nutrition Committee of the French Society of Paediatrics and the Human Nutrition Committee of the French Food Safety Agency. Since 2015, he is chairing the NDA (Nutrition, Novel Foods, and Food Allergens) Panel of EFSA (European Food Safety Authority). His main research interests are epidemiology of inflammatory bowel disease, breastfeeding, and infant nutrition. Dominique Turck has been involved in the publication of 350 papers in peer-reviewed journals and wrote several book chapters in the field of pediatric gastroenterology, cystic fibrosis, and nutrition.
