Dr. Dominika is a professor and Head of the Department of Psychiatry at Jagiellonian University. She is a graduate of Collegium Medicum of the Jagiellonian University. Since graduating, she has been working at the Department of Psychiatry at the Collegium Medicum of the Jagiellonian University. Where she obtained the 1st and 2nd degree of specialization in psychiatry.

In 1998 she defended her doctorate, in 2006 she obtained the academic degree of habilitated doctor, and in 2012 she received the title of professor of medical sciences from the President of the Republic of Poland. She is the author of several hundred scientific publications, she has edited a number of books on psychiatry, especially depressive disorders, and bipolar disorder.
