Domenico Iacopino MD

Domenico Gerardo Iacopino is a specialist in Neurosurgery. He mainly deals with skull surgery, spine surgery, brain tumor, herniated disc, essential tremor, and spinal tumor.

In 1983 he graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Messina and, in 1987, obtained the Specialization with honors in Neurosurgery at the same University.

Currently, Prof. Iacopino holds the position of Head of the Complex Operative Unit of Neurosurgery of the Palermo Polyclinic, where, in the specific department, more than 2000 high-overall neurosurgical operations have been performed under the guidance of the Professor. In addition, he is a Professor of Neurosurgery in the Degree Courses and in the Specialization Schools of the School of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Palermo. Author of numerous scientific publications in national and international journals, he is Speaker at numerous scientific events in Italy and abroad.
