Djordje Popovic MD, PhD

Dr. Djordje Popovic, MD, PhD, is an endocrinologist at the Clinic for Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolic Disorders, Clinical Center of Vojvodina, and serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at the Medical Faculty, University of Novi Sad. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2008 and completed his PhD in 2016 at the Medical Faculty, University of Novi Sad.

In 2016, Dr. Popovic completed a twelve-week fellowship at the Section of Metabolic Diseases and Diabetes, Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine, University of Pisa, Italy, through the European Foundation for the Study of Diabetes Albert Renold Fellowship Programme. He was also honored with the European Foundation for the Study of Diabetes Future Leaders Mentorship Programme Award during the 2017 European Association for the Study of Diabetes Annual Meeting in Lisbon, Portugal.

Dr. Popovic has been an invited speaker at numerous international scientific conferences and has authored numerous publications in prestigious international medical journals. In addition to his academic and clinical work, he serves as a reviewer for multiple scientific journals and is a member of the editorial boards of several international publications.
