Dirk Hagemeister BA, DA (SA), DipHIVMan, PGDipIRE, MPH, EMMB, FAfAllgMed, MD

Professor Dirk Hagemeister is a Principal Family Physician and Senior Lecturer at the University of the Free State (UFS). He obtained his Dr.med. (Nephrology) qualification from the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg and a Health Sciences qualification from the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences in Germany, to name a few. Locally, he obtained a Diploma in HIV Management, a Postgraduate Diploma in Internal Research Ethics, a Diploma in Anaesthetics, and a Ph.D. in Health Science Education from UFS. Since 2006 he has been working in clinical and academic functions across various provinces, and for the past 10 years, he has been serving in his current joint appointment in the Department of Family Medicine in Bloemfontein.
