Diouma Ndiaye MD, PhD

Diouma Ndiaye is a Senegalese dental academic and Professor assimilé (associate professor) in the Faculty of Medicine, Pharmacy, and Odonto-Stomatology at Université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar (UCAD). She specializes in conservative odontology and endodontics (the branch of dentistry concerned with the structure and health of the dental pulp and root) and teaches and conducts research in clinical dental care and oral health. She holds multiple academic qualifications in pharmacy and odontology, including a Doctorate, and has progressed through academic ranks at UCAD from assistant roles beginning in 2013 to her current senior professorial appointment in 2022.

Prof. Ndiaye’s research contributions include studies on the quality of endodontic access cavities, the prevalence and factors associated with non-carious cervical lesions in West African clinical settings, clinical and radiographic characteristics of apical periodontitis in Senegalese populations, and evaluations of pulpotomy procedures and bacterial reduction techniques in dental practice, demonstrating a sustained focus on improving clinical outcomes and dental treatment quality in her field.
