Dion Paridaens MD, PhD

Prof. dr. Dr. ADA Paridaens (Dion) was born in 1963 in IJsselstein. For his training as an ophthalmologist in Utrecht, he did PhD research at the Moorfields Eye Hospital in London (1990-1992). His dissertation on eye melanomas (1993) was awarded the FC Donders Prize in 1995. In 2012, Prof. dr. Dr. Dion Paridaens, ophthalmologist, appointed Professor at the University of Geneva, Switzerland. This university is among the top 10 in Europe. The treatments that Prof. dr. Dr. Paridaens performs eye ophthalmoperations, eyelid corrections (ptosis, dermatochalazis, reconstructive after tumor surgery or accidents, eyelid malpositions (ectropion / entropion)) and tear-away operations in the Rotterdam Eye Hospital. He is also a specialist in enucleations, eviscerations and socket reconstructions. The treatments provided by Prof. dr. Dr. Paridaens in Oogziekenhuis Focus clinic are performed: lower and upper eyelid corrections and correction of drooping eyelids (ptosis).
