Ding Ming, Ph.D., is Vice President, Research & Innovation, for USP. Dr. Ming is responsible for creating a Research and Innovation infrastructure, identifying and supporting new technologies and capabilities relevant to USP standard-setting processes and allied programs, recognizing, evaluating and developing new opportunities that respond to the needs of USP's stakeholders, and enhancing the vision and mission of USP.
With more than nineteen years of pharmaceutical industry experience in scientific, medical and clinical affairs, research and development, global wellness, and consumer healthcare, Dr. Ming joins USP after most recently serving as Global Wellness Category Medical Director at GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare. Previously, Dr. Ming was APAC Regional Medical Head at GlaxoSmithKline – China. Prior to his work at GSK, Dr. Ming served in various scientific, medical, and clinical leadership capacities at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceutical, Inc., Schering-Plough, Pfizer, and Novartis. In addition, he has provided scientific counsel to regulatory agencies around the world.
