Ding-cheng (derrick) Chan MD. PhD, FACP

Professor Derrick Chan is Vice Superintendent of the NationalTaiwan University Hospital, Hsin-Chu Branch and Executive Director of National Taiwan University Hsin-Chu Hospital, Hsinchu, Taiwan. He is also an attending physician at the Department of Geriatrics and Gerontology, and Clinical Professor of Internal Medicine at National Taiwan University Hospital, Taipei, Taiwan. Prof Chan is Co-Chair of the Asia Pacific Fragility Fracture Alliance (APFFA) Joint Steering Committee. He has also been a member of the Asia Pacific Bone Academy Steering Committee since 2016. Prof Chan graduated from National Taiwan University College of Medicine and obtained his PhD in Gerontology and Long-Term Care from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Baltimore, MD, USA. He completed his internal medicine residency training at Greater Baltimore Medical Center, Towson, MD, and his fellowship training with the Harvard Geriatric Fellowship Program in Boston, MA, USA.
