Dr. Mastrogiannis is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist who serves as Director of the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Program at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, New York. Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, a member of Catholic Health Services of Long Island, is a 537-bed (including 100 nursing home beds), not-for-profit hospital serving the communities on the south shore of Long Island. Good Samaritan’s high-quality medical services extend across the continuum of care to all disciplines, both for inpatients and outpatients.

Alongside his role as Director, Dr. Mastrogiannis serves as Chairman of Maternal-Fetal Medicine for Catholic Health Services (CHS) of Long Island in Rockville Centre, New York. CHS is an integrated health care delivery system with some of the region’s finest health and human services agencies. It includes six hospitals, three skilled nursing facilities, a regional home nursing service, a hospice, and a multiservice, community-based agency for persons with special needs.

Prior to his current roles, Dr. Mastrogiannis was the Vice-Chairman in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Temple University and the Director of Obstetrics and Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He also previously served as Director of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Good Samaritan from 1997 until 2007.

He earned his medical degree from the University of Patras in Patras, Greece in 1983. Upon relocating to the United States, he went on to complete his internship at Forest Hills Hospital, followed by his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Nassau County Medical Center and his fellowship in maternal medicine at the University of South Florida.
