Dima Amso BS, PhD

Dr. Dima Amso has a BS in Psychology from Tufts University, was trained at Cornell University, and received a PhD in Psychology from New York University in 2005. She then joined the faculty in the departments of Psychiatry, Neurology, and Neuroscience at the Weil Medical College of Cornell University, specifically in the prestigious Sackler Institute for Developmental Psycho biology. Since 2010, Dr. Amso has been a member of the faculty of the department of Cognitive, Linguistic, and Psychological Sciences at Brown University. Her research examines the development of attention and memory in typical and atypically developing populations, with a special emphasis on how environmental variables shape these trajectories. She has authored numerous scientific publications on the topic and has served on the editorial boards of multiple international journals. Dr. Amso has held multiple awards from the National Institute of Mental Health, National Institute for General Medical Sciences, Brown University’s Norman Prince Neuroscience Institute and the Carney Institute for Brain Science, and is a recipient of the James S. McDonnell Scholar Award.
