Dr. Dieter Metze is Senior Professor for Dermatology and Vice-chairman in the Department of Dermatology, University of Munster, Germany, as well as Director of the Dermatopathology Unit and the International Training Centre for Dermatopathology of the ICDP/UEMS.

Dr. Dieter Metze is Secretary of the International Society of Dermatopathology, former President and Secretary of the International Committee of Dermatopathology, former president of the German Society of Dermatopathology (Arbeitsgemeinschaft Dermatologische Histologie, ADH) and the Society for Cutaneous Ultrastructural Research (SCUR), Executive committee member of the European Society of Dermatopathology (ESDP), Section Editor Dermatohistology, Journal der Deutschen Dermatologischen Gesellschaft (JDDG), Editorial board member of the Am J Dermatopathol, and Delegate of the International League of Dermatologic Societies.
