Dr. Diego Milani completed his medical training at the University of Perugia, Italy. Following graduation, he worked in both hospital and general practice settings, going on to complete specialisation clinical training in General Surgery. He obtained his Fellowship equivalent and became a General Surgeon before migrating to Australia in 2013. On arrival in Australia, Dr. Milani completed his Ph.D. in Neuroscience through the University of Notre Dame and then worked as a Research Officer and Lecturer until 2018. His research in Neuroscience has been published and presented internationally.

Since gaining medical registration through the Medical Board of Australia, Dr. Milani has worked in a variety of clinical areas as a Resident Medical Officer at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, and regionally with WA Country Health Services (WACHS) as a General Medicine Registrar at Bunbury Regional Hospital. Most recently Dr. Milani worked as a Psychiatry Registrar at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.

Dr. Milani joins OSHGroup as an Occupational Physician Registrar in 2021 and brings a unique set of skills to the team given his extensive experience in the fields of surgery, neurology, psychiatry, and research. He will be providing a range of services for our clients including but not limited to medical assessments, injury management Workers’ Compensation management, and Fitness for Work assessments.

When he’s not working or studying Dr. Milani enjoys scuba diving, motorbike riding, reading, watching movies, and cooking. Dr Milani will be consulting at OSHGroup’s CBD and Airport locations. Please email injurymanagement@oshgroup.com.au for more information.
