Diego Ardigo MD, PhD

Dr Diego is project leader for advanced therapies at Chiesi Farmaceutici. He is M.D and Ph.D by training, with clinical and laboratory research experience in Italy at the University of Parma and the U.S at Stanford University. Ardigo has authorised over 40 indexed papers. He joined Chiesi in 2010 as Clinical Leaders. He was the clinical lead of the first stem cell therapy approved in Europe (Holoclar) and leads the cross-company (Chiesi and uniQure B.V) team of the first gene therapy approved in Europe (Glybera). He is a member of the scientific Committee of IRDiRC and of the Advanced Therapy Joint Working Group of EBE-EFPIA.
