Ms. Davis as over 20 years of experience in health care administration, Managed Care and Gerontology. Ms. Davis holds a BA in Dance from Pitzer College, in Claremont, CA, a Master’s in Public Health from UMASS, Amherst and a post-graduate certificate in Gerontology from UMASS Boston. Ms. Davis started her career in health care administration at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts in the Strategic Planning Department. She then moved to Management Engineering at Baystate Health System (BHS), the western teaching campus of Tufts University School of Medicine. She moved to Managed Care Contracting at BHS and then to Baycare Health partners the Physician Hospital Organization affiliated with BHS where she represented 1,600 physicians, three hospitals and affiliated ancillary providers in contract negotiations with managed care organizations, including Tufts Health Plan, Harvard Pilgrim Health Plan, Health New England, Aetna, CIGNA, and other regional and national health plans. In January 2010 Ms. Davis returned to California and began working at UCLA, first at the Multicampus Program in Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology and then as the Project Manager on a Small Business Innovation Project funded by National Institute on Aging. Ms. Davis also has experience as a private chronic care manager. Ms. Davis has two grown daughters and has practiced yoga for more than 10 years and is a certified Iyengar-style yoga instructor.
