Diane E. Griffin MD, Ph.D. is University Distinguished Service Professor and former Chair of the W. Harry Feinstone Department of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and Vice President of the US National Academy of Sciences. She has a BA from Augustana College and MD and Ph.D. from Stanford University. Her research addresses virus virulence and the role of the immune response in the pathogenesis of alphavirus and measles virus infections.
