Diane Muzio is a Senior Lecturer in the Rehabilitation Institute and Clinic Coordinator for the Communication Disorders & Sciences Program. She received her B.A. in sociology from Fordham University, and her M.S. in speech-language pathology and audiology from the University of Virginia. Since 1997, Ms. Muzio has taught Anatomy & Physiology of the Speech & Hearing Mechanisms, Phonetics, Diagnostic Procedures in Speech & Hearing, Special Topics: Medical Speech-Language Pathology, Advanced Clinical Practicum, Public School Practicum, and Internship in Communication Disorders. She is the Teacher Education Program Coordinator, Internship Coordinator, and Coordinator for Speech-Language and Hearing Services in the Clinical Center. Ms. Muzio is the recipient of the 2002, 2005 and 2007 Rehabilitation Institute Teacher of the Year Award, and the 2002 ASHA ACE Award. She is the faculty advisor to the SIUC Chapter of the National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
