Diana Diamond is internationally recognized for her work in applying basic research-grounded concepts of attachment theory to investigating therapeutic process and outcome with patients with personality disorders. She has participated in developing Transference Focused Psychotherapy (TFP), a manualized psychodynamic psychotherapy for borderline patients, and has been involved in a series of studies investigating change in attachment and symptomatology in borderline patients over one year of TFP.
