Dhrubajyoti Bhuyan MBBS, MD

Dr. Dhrubajyoti Bhuyan was born on 19th December 1979. He passed his MBBS from Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh in June 2002 and received his Post Graduate Degree (MD) in Psychiatry from Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh, Assam in July 2007. He is currently working as an Professor, Department of Psychiatry, Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh. He is currently officiating the post of Superintendent of Assam Medical College and Hospital. He is life fellow member of the Indian Psychiatric Society. He has many publications in various scientific journals. He has also written many articles and edited psychiatric updates published by the Indian Psychiatric Society, Assam State Branch. He is the editor of Academic Bulletin of Mental Health. He is Co-author of Clinical Practice Guideline for Psychiatrists in India for Psychotherapies and Alternative methods of Treatment in Psychiatry and contributed to Brief Intervention for Substance Use Disorders. He is the principal investigator of many research projects. He has presented many papers, given guest lectures, and chaired sessions in various CMEs and conferences across the country. He has been involved with various TV and Radio shows for public awareness. He has been awarded with Dr R B Davis memorial Oration Award by Indian Psychiatric Society East Zone and Best Teacher for Teaching and Research by Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences
