Deven V. Parmar MBBS, MD, FACP, FCP

Dr. Deven V. Parmar has joined Zydus Therapeutics INC as Head, Chief Medical Officer. He comes in with over eight years of academic experience and about 20 years of rich professional experience in the pharmaceutical and clinical research industry.

Parmar has done his MD in Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics and is an MBBS from GMC College, Mumbai. His career includes stints with Wockhardt, Veeda Clinical Research, Glaxo SmithKline, Ranbaxy, and Serbia Pharmaceuticals. His areas of expertise include clinical research, data management, medical writing and statistics, pharmacovigilance, regulatory and due diligence, licensing, business development, and co-development. A key opinion leader, he has given over 50 guest lectures at a number of national and international conferences including DIA, IDMA, and Drug Discovery conferences in the Asia Pacific and the US. He has more than 50 scientific publications in various journals and has authored a number of chapters in textbooks on Medical Therapeutics. He is on the committee of the Indian Society of Clinical Research, IDMA, OPPI, and FICCI, and on the Advisory Board of the British Medical Journal.
