Desmond P. Kidd MBBCh, BAO, MD, FRCP

Dr. Desmond P. Kidd qualified in Ireland and moved to research the pathophysiology of multiple sclerosis at the Institute of Neurology in 1991. After training in clinical neurology and neuro-ophthalmology at St Thomas Hospital and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, he moved to the Royal Free in 1998. Here he has established the departments of neuro-ophthalmology and the center for neurosarcoidosis; these departments receive referrals from all over the country for diagnosis, treatment, and research. He also treats and researches cerebral vasculitis, neurological complications of connective tissue diseases and infections, and Behcet's syndrome.
