Derrick Geick MBA

Derrick Geick is an Executive Director and Global Head of Cardio/Renal/Metabolic (CRM) Alliances at Novartis. Derrick’s career in Pharma spans over 28 years at Boehringer Ingelheim and Novartis and has included roles in Sales, Sales Training, Sales Management, US Brand Management, Patient Advocacy, Government Affairs, Global Brand Launch and Management, and, for the past 6 years, global Alliance Management. He has worked within and managed a diverse array of alliances and partnerships, from large contract sales organizations, Co-Commercialization, Co-Marketing, Co-Development, in/out-licensing, to Scientific and multi-stakeholder advocacy and governmental affairs coalitions. Derrick is passionate about effectively managing and leveraging Alliances for the benefit of all stakeholders: Patients, Pharma, and Payors. Derrick grew up and went to university in Chicago, where he studied biomedical engineering at the University of Illinois, earned an MBA from DePaul University, and is an ASAP member (CA-AM). He lives in Basel, Switzerland, where he has worked in global roles with Novartis since 2012.
