Dennis Reynolds, PhD, is the Dean and Barron Hilton Distinguished Chair of the Conrad N. Hilton College of Global Hospitality Leadership at the University of Houston, where he leads one of the world’s premier hospitality education programs with a focus on research, student success, and global industry engagement. He began his tenure as the College’s seventh dean on July 1, 2015, bringing a rich blend of academic leadership, industry experience, and scholarly productivity to the role.

Before joining the University of Houston, Reynolds served as the Ivar Haglund Endowed Professor of Hospitality Management and Director of the Wine Business Management Program at Washington State University’s Carson College of Business, and earlier held the J. Thomas Clark Professorship of Entrepreneurship and Personal Enterprise at Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration. A prolific author and researcher specializing in service management and hospitality productivity, he has published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles and six textbooks, ranking among the top hospitality-management scholars worldwide.

Reynolds holds a PhD and Master of Professional Studies in Hotel Administration from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Science in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management from Golden Gate University, and his career also includes significant industry leadership roles that inform his approach to education and research in global hospitality.
