Dr. Phillips is a Pittsburgh native who initially attended the University of Pittsburgh to become a nurse anesthetist. He immediately returned to Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine for medical school and trained as an anesthesiology resident at UPMC, where he served as Associate Chief Resident. He obtained further training there in adult cardiothoracic anesthesiology and anesthesiology critical care medicine. Currently, Dr. Phillips is an attending anesthesiologist in the Cardiothoracic Division of the Department of Anesthesiology. He also has a secondary appointment in the Department of Critical Care Medicine where he attends the Surgical Intensive Care Unit. Dr. Phillips lives with his wife Julie and their three beautiful children Ethan, Emma, and Carson in Hampton Township.
