Dr. Kramer is an Instructor in the Division of Sports Medicine, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Childrens Hospital Boston. He maintains full time clinical practice specializing in pediatrics and sports medicine, performing clinical research and teaching at all levels with an emphasis on optimizing the education of Harvard University Orthopaedic Surgery residents.

Dr. Kramer holds a unique perspective on the importance of athletics in life. Following his career at Princeton, he completed medical school at New York University and an Orthopaedic Surgery residency at John Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD. He completed a one year fellowship in sports medicine and pediatrics at Childrens Hospital, Boston, under the tutelage of Dr. Lyle Micheli and Dr. Mininder Kocher.

Dr. Kramer also takes trauma call at Childrens Hospital Boston which includes the operative and non-operative management of pediatric fractures and dislocations. In February of 2008 he spent a month at Kerlin-Jobe clinic in Los Angeles, CA with Dr. Neil El-Attrache learning the latest surgical and nonsurgical techniques for shoulder care.

Dr. Kramer has a strong interest in teaching and optimizing the medical education process. He has given multiple lectures to emergency room physicians, pediatricians, physical therapists, school nurses and medical students on various topics. He is in charge of the mentoring portion of the Sports Medicine fellowship, focusing on aiding the transition between orthopaedic surgery fellow and attending physicians.
