Deniz Cagdas Ayvaz completed his secondary education at Ankara Gazi Anatolian High School and his medical education at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine. Between August 1999 and April 2004, she received specialist training at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Child Health and Diseases. Between September - November 2004 at Ankara Private Cag Hospital, between November 2004 - February 2005 at Tokat Erbaa State Hospital as a Child Health and Diseases specialist, between February 2005 - March 2009 at Turkiye Yüksek İhtisas Training and Research Hospital Pediatric Cardiology Clinic. He worked in the field of childhood congenital and acquired heart diseases. She conducted research on childhood heart diseases, obesity, and their treatment. With the minor specialization exam, he started his minor specialization at Hacettepe University, Department of Child Health and Diseases, Department of Pediatric Immunology in April 2009, and his doctorate in Immunology (Ph.D.) in the same department in February 2012.
Deniz was appointed as an assistant professor in November 2012. She became an associate professor in the field of Child Health and Diseases in December 2012. She has been working at Hacettepe Faculty of Medicine, Department of Child Health and Diseases, Department of Pediatric Immunology, since April 2009. Her main areas of interest are primary immunodeficiency diseases and their molecular basis, stem cell transplantation in immunodeficiencies, the immune system and other systemic effects of infections in childhood, immune dysregulation diseases and lymphoproliferative diseases, and agent-specific immunodeficiencies.
