Denise Simmons

Ms. Denise Simmons is currently working as a Nurse Practitioner on the Sunshine Coast, in Chronic Disease. Her role is community-based and she works one day a week in a local clinic (Medicrew, Buderim) to review patients following discharge. The object of her service is to prevent re-admission to the hospital by providing advanced clinical service and monitoring of symptoms while in the home. Denise celebrates 50 years of nursing in 2017. Her past experiences are extensive and include rural and remote, juvenile justice, ICU, accident, emergency, and palliative care.
