Denise Maxwell-downing MS, BSN, RN, CNOR

Ms. Denise Maxwell-Downing is currently the VP of Clinical Logistics for Matrix IT who provides a comprehensive, fully integrated hardware and software UDI OR data capture and reporting solution that focuses on patient safety by leveraging UDI, GUDID, and FDA recall database for point-of-care. She was a perioperative informatics nurse specialist at AORN, Inc. from 2007 through 2018. She was the AORN UDI policy adviser to the FDA, CDC, and other UDI healthcare stakeholders. At AORN she was responsible for the AORN Syntegrity EHR standards and evidence-based OR clinical content solution. She developed perioperative informatics competencies and perioperative quality metrics for ANA/NDNQI. She has been an RN for over 25 years with experience as a perioperative leader and a trauma/surgical ICU RN.
