Denise Freitas MD

Denise De Freitas, MD, is an Associated Professor of the Department of Ophthalmology at the Federal University of São Paulo, Brazil. Her primary research includes studies on corneal diseases, mainly microbial keratitis, corneal dystrophies, and corneal surgery. Dr. De Freitas also has an interest in ocular trauma, especially issues regarding prevention. Clinically, she specializes in corneal, refractive, and cataract surgery, anterior segment reconstruction, and diseases of the external eye
