Dr. Dela Golshayan graduated from the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne-Switzerland (UNIL) and trained as a specialist clinician in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. She received her MD degree from the UNIL and did a PhD at Imperial College London-UK in the field of transplantation immunology. She currently works as a senior attending physician at the Transplantation Center of the University Hospital of Lausanne (CHUV) as well as in the Division of Nephrology. As a specialist in nephrology, she is actively involved in the clinical follow-up of kidney transplant recipients. She also regularly teaches to pre- and postgraduate students, in the field of immunology, nephrology and transplantation medicine.
Her research interests are focusing on immune-mediated diseases, in particular in the field of nephrology and transplantation. In the past years, her Lab’s main research topic has been transplantation immunology, with a focus on the mechanisms of graft rejection and transplantation tolerance.
