Deirdre Gately, PA-Ceirdre strives to get to know her patients and establish partnerships with them. By understanding an individual’s values, lifestyle and personal health goals, she can better assist them to achieve and maintain optimal health. She is open to incorporating alternative care when appropriate in order to achieve maximum physical and mental health outcomes. She is a certified physician assistant, having received a BA in psychology from Fairfield University in Fairfield, Ct. She went on to work as a health and nutrition educator for a Head Start program before earning both a PA and a master’s degree in Health Sciences from Duke University Medical Center in 1999.
Deirdre began her PA career in family medicine at Group Health Cooperative where she remained for 13 years. There, she gained experience in family practice and urgent care and spent several years in both Cardiology and Pulmonary/Sleep Medicine. Her desire to spend more time with her patients lead her to Greenlake Primary Care where she spent three years. She is thrilled to join Dr. Ruhoy in helping to empower patients to heal and live a vibrant full life.
