Deepak V. Kirpekar MBBS, MS, FICS

Dr. Deepak Kirpekar is a seasoned and well known Urologist from Pune in Maharashtra with more than three decades of experience. Recipient of Mayors Award, he is the first to perform AMS 800 in India. Besides devising a new Endopyelotome, Dr. Kirpekar was also involved in ‘Holmium in Urology’ trails. His stellar career saw him chairing various prestigious positions such as Organizing Chairman of ‘ Live International Workshop on Reconstructive Urology’, Jt. Organizing Secretary of Asian Congress Urology (Delhi), President of West Zone Chapter Urological Society of India 2007-08, Chairperson of USICON 2013 National Conference (Pune), Past President of Urology Society Pune, Council Member USI (West Zone and National), President of Elect Urological Society of India 2013–14, and President of Urological Society of India 2014-15. Till date, Dr. Kirpekar has successfully conducted more than 14,500 TURP, 840 Transplantations, 60 Cystectomy and Diversion, 3500 PNCL, 6120 URS/RIRS and 4000 Lithotripsy. Dr. Kirpekar is a National Board of Urology recognized teacher since 2000 and attached to Ratna Memorial Hospital as Prof. of Urology.
Dr. Kirpekar has completed MBBS and MD in General Surgery from reputed Grant Medical College in Mumbai. He began his career with JJ HOspital and later on moved to St. Georges Hospital. During 1976 to 1979, he spent some time in England working with St Peters Hospital in Chertsey and NN Hospital in Norwich. He has been attached with Jehangir Nursing Home since 1981 as a Senior Urologist at and has been actively involved in its transplant program. Dr. Kirpekar has been regularly attending several conferences organised at national and international level. His presentation skills have been appreciated at various conferences amongst his peer groups. He has also participated in CME's, symposia and seminars as a guest speaker talking about various topics related to his domain.
As Faculty, Dr. Kirpekar has been invited at various Live Operative Workshops held at national and international level. He has successfully demonstrated his interpersonal skills by chairing sessions related to Urology. Dr. Kirpekar is available for his expert advice at Urology Day Clinic located at Karve Road, Pune with prior appointment.
