Deepa Bangalore Gotur MD

Deepa Bangalore Gotur is an Associate Clinical Professor at Weill Cornell Medical College. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Surgical Critical Care. She completed her Doctor of Medicine at the Bangalore Medical College. Dr. Gotur is very active in international societies. She serves as a vice-chair of the item-writing committee, and a member of the Assessment and Knowledge committee as well as the Current Concepts in Critical Care Course Committee for the Society of Critical Care Medicine. She was elected to the board of directors for the Society of Critical Care Medicine Texas Chapter in 2019. She is also serving on the editorial board of CHEST journal which has an impact factor of 8.308, as a visual abstract feature editor. She has received multiple educational awards, including the 2019 Excellence in Service Award for Education from the Society of Critical Care Medicine Texas Chapter and the 2019 Faculty teaching award from Houston Methodist Academic Institute. She also recently received GlaxoSmithKline Distinguished Scholar in respiratory health award from the Chest foundation. Dr. Gotur is very active in research and serves as the principal investigator on multiple clinical trials. Her expertise is in sepsis, COVID-19, ARDS, and cytokine release syndrome.
