Debra McElroy is the senior vice president for practice development at ACMA. She oversees association operations with a focus on national initiatives including transitions of care standards and measurement and the advanced care transition simulations (ACTS) program. McElroy is also is the executive support for the Association for Physician Leadership in Care Management (APLCM). She is the former national leader of nursing programs and services delivered to health care systems across the country. McElroy has extensive experience in the public health sector, previously directing health care coalitions and federally funded initiatives that established infrastructure for medical homes. She has a master’s degree in public health, a bachelor’s degree in nursing and has published on advanced practice providers, nurse retention, public health and transitions of care.
