Dr. Gervais is a staff radiologist and the Division Head of Abdominal and Interventional Radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital. She is an Associate Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School. She did her residency training in Diagnostic Radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital and Fellowship training in Abdominal and Interventional Radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital. Subsequently, Dr. Gervais worked as a Pediatric Interventionalist at Children's Hospital, Boston, returning to MGH in 1998. It is here where she established a successful career with her work on radiofrequency ablation of renal tumors.

Dr. Gervais currently also serves as Division Head for Pediatric Radiology and as Associate Director for the Radiology Residency. She has served on numerous committees in national radiology organizations and is the former chair of the Society of Interventional Radiology Interventional Oncology Task Force. She is highly sought after as a speaker on tumor ablation at national and international meetings. She is also highly regarded as an excellent radiologist and leader in interventional procedures.

Dr. Gervais is Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology and holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. Her clinical interests are Pediatric Interventional Radiology, Nonvascular Interventional Radiology, and RadioFrequency Ablation of abdominal tumors. The daily clinical load in the Abdominal and Interventional division is approximately 50 – 60 CTscans, 15 – 25 interventional procedures, 50 – 60 ultrasounds, 10 – 15 MRI scans, and 15 – 20 plain films, fluoroscopic studies, and miscellaneous procedures. On any given day, Dr. Gervais may be assigned to one of these modalities or to the role of helping any of these modalities where help is needed.
